STOP WATER DAMAGE BEFORE IT STARTS
The Flo by Moen Smart Water Shutoff can detect leaks in your home's plumbing and turn off your home's water - even if you're not home.
A. A CES 2018 Innovation Awards honoree for outstanding design and engineering, Flo is a new water security device that monitors your plumbing system to detect and stop leaks. Using innovative technology to identify water issues and alert you to them, the Flo device can detect up to one abnormal drop per minute.
A. Water damage is the #1 preventable cause of homeowners insurance claims in the U.S. each year. According to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), over 10% of homes leak 90 gallons or more. Your home is twice as likely to suffer from water damage than from theft and fire combined. With the In Home Plumbing Emergency Program from American Water Resources and water security from Flo, you can rest assured that any water issues will be under control.
A. Once Flo is installed to your main water supply line, it monitors all water flowing into your home. Flo detects any abnormalities in your water’s behavior (water pressure, usage, temperature) and sends customized alerts directly to your phone prompting you to shut the water off, get troubleshooting tips, or contact your plumber – all straight from the app. If you don’t have your phone with you and the situation is dangerous, Flo will automatically shut the water off to prevent property damage.
A. Yes. According to the EPA, household leaks can waste more than 1 trillion gallons annually nationwide. That's equal to the annual household water use of more than 11 million homes. And sometime these leaks are no larger than a tiny trickle of intermittent droplets. With the ability to detect and locate even the most minor of leaks, Flo will help you conserve water...and money.
A. Flo runs proactive tests to identify tiny leaks that could cause damage over time. With Microleak™ technology, Flo can detect leaks as small as one drop per minute so you can make repairs before the damage increases and save on your water bill. Partnered with protection from AWR, this can help you prevent damage to your home and minimize repair time and expense.
A. Flo is installed on the main water supply line after the main shut-off and before any pipes split into the home.
A. Flo helps minimize water damage, and the In Home Plumbing Emergency Program from AWR covers repairs to your home’s interior water and sewer pipes. Think overflowing toilet, broken water pipe under your sink (or behind the walls), stuff like that – and stuff your homeowners insurance likely doesn’t cover. Some leaks that are detected by the Flo device could be covered under this protection plan. With both AWR and Flo, you can get ultimate protection for your home’s water line.
A. If your lawn suddenly has puddles or water features you never asked for, you may have a water line problem. Or you may experience low water pressure, or even no water flowing at all. Don’t be the person who loses control in this situation. Be the person who calls AWR. If you’re not already a member of AWR’s In-Home Plumbing Emergency Program, you can enroll for a few dollars a month. Receive up to $3,000 for pipe repairs, unlimited service calls and when repairs are needed AWR dispatches contractors and coordinates repairs.
