Anyone who owns a home will tell you how difficult it can be to keep things properly maintained. When it comes to caring for a household, there’s so much more to its upkeep than just making sure the lawn is mowed and the weeds are trimmed. After all, it’s your responsibility to make sure that all your appliances are running efficiently — including your air conditioner, furnace, clothes washer and dryer, refrigerator, oven, cooktop, and more. Not just that, but it also may fall on you to ensure your home’s service lines are cared for, including your natural gas lines, water line, and sewer line. On top of that, it’s also your job to make sure you get problems that you don’t have the expertise to handle taken care of ASAP — such as anything involving electrical work (that is, unless you’re a professional electrician yourself).

Most homeowners aren’t electricians, and they should understand the dangers associated with trying to diagnose or take care of electrical problems. Trying to take care of the electrical repair work on your own could cause damage to your home, or a serious injury to yourself and others. It’s best to let the pros handle this kind of work.

So who should you turn to if you need help with an electrical problem? You could spend time looking online for a reputable electrician to help. But what do you really know about them outside of what you may see on their website or in the handful of reviews they may have? American Water Resources (AWR) can help!

Dependable home protection

At AWR, we offer homeowners like you a variety of valuable protection plans, including Interior Electric Line Protection and Exterior Electric Line Protection. Clarence G. of Mesa, Ariz., is enrolled in both warranty plans. When the electrical panel on the outside of his home experienced an issue, he had flickering lights and a TV that stopped working. Instead of looking online for someone who could help, he remembered that he has electrical coverage with us. Clarence knew that we have a network of service providers who are experienced, reliable, and honest — just what he needed to get his home back in working order.

Clarence gave us a call and spoke with a friendly customer service representative who was able to assist with getting a provider to his home to diagnose and treat the problem. The electrician was able to replace all the breakers in Clarence’s panel at no extra cost to him. Additionally, Clarence is enrolled in our In-Home Plumbing Emergency Program. When his sink was no longer draining as it should, he gave us a call and we came to his rescue!

Here’s what Clarence had to say about his recent experiences working with our team of professionals: “I've had an electric panel [issue] and a stopped-up kitchen sink and both contractors did a great job.”
