You’re rinsing off dishes in your sink when you notice that the water isn’t draining like it should. You immediately suspect that you have a clog and try to fix it yourself using a plunger. It doesn’t work, you panic, and you wonder if a store-bought drain clog remover would remedy the situation. STOP! If this sounds like a situation you’ve been through before, or if you haven’t (but it sounds like something out of a nightmare), now is the time to enroll in a plumbing protection plan — before you need it, and before you resort to pouring harsh chemicals that could damage your pipes down your drain.

Deborah G. is a satisfied American Water Resources (AWR) customer who is enrolled in our In-Home Plumbing Emergency Program. When her kitchen sink was clogged, she knew that all she had to do to get the problem taken care of was to call us. Deborah called and spoke with a friendly, knowledgeable customer care expert who listened as Deborah described the situation. We found Deborah a network service provider in her area who could diagnose and take care of the problem.

“We had a clogged kitchen sink, so I called American Water Resources,” Deborah explained, “[and] they connected me with a plumber immediately and had someone out the next day. We had a great experience with them.” The professional plumber was able to clear the clog so dirty dishes didn’t have to stack up on Deborah’s countertops.
