American Water Resources (AWR) is a leading provider in home protection, serving over 2 million homeowners nationwide. Our programs are designed to help protect against the high-cost hassles of unexpected home repairs by connecting customers with vetted local professionals and managing the repair process on their behalf. American Water Resources’ optional protection programs are provided by Oncourse Home Solutions, LLC and administered by AWR. You may see both names in certain communications – both brands work together as one team to deliver reliable coverage and dependable service.
Your water and sewer lines run underneath your property. The water service line runs from your property line to your home and the sewer service line runs from your home to the sewer main under the street. Homeowner responsibilities may vary. If you live in a dwelling like a condo, please contact your local homeowners' association to determine your responsibilities.
This optional protection covers repairs to the water line for leaks or breaks, and to the sewer line for clogs and blockages. Covered repairs will be made by local, insured independent plumbing contractors. Protection does not include a septic tank or the components thereof and other exclusions apply, see Terms and Conditions for details.
Any residential homeowner, responsible for the water and sewer service lines attached to their home, is eligible to enroll in the program.
Although there is no service fee for water line claims, there is a $50 per occurrence service fee when an independent contractor is dispatched to your home to investigate or repair your sewer line.
Keep it convenient and sign up for monthly billing on your water bill. Or, you can pay monthly or annually with convenient options like a checking or bank account (ACH) or a credit card (VISA or MasterCard).
Your enrollment begins the day AWR processes your enrollment, which is the enrollment date on your welcome letter. Your protection and ability to make a claim begin 30 days after the enrollment date. The first year of coverage includes a 30-day waiting period and 11 months of coverage. Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
The program term and price are for a 12-month period that will automatically renew each year for an additional one-year term at then-current rates. You can cancel at any time.
If you have a covered service line problem, call AWR at 1-855-800-5195, or submit your service claim online; do not call your own contractor. AWR is available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to take your call.
