Why this plan?

In-home plumbing emergencies, such as an overflowing toilet, a broken garbage disposal or a ruptured pipe under the sink or behind the walls, create big problems for homeowners. These incidents can also lead to significant property damage and require immediate repairs. The inconvenience can be further compounded by the urgent need to source reliable professionals to resolve possible disruptions from things like:

  • Overflowing toilet
  • Broken or leaking pipes
  • Low water pressure
  • Broken garbage disposal
  • Sink faucet malfunction

Unexpected repairs can be both daunting and costly. Our In-Home Plumbing Plus Program protects you from these unexpected costs. See above for what we cover.

Frequently asked questions

AWR provides protection from the unexpected. We offer programs to cover the big repairs that your homeowner's policy typically doesn't cover. Since the year 2000, we have grown to provide protection for over 1 million homeowners. American Water Resources is an independent third-party provider of optional home protection programs. American Water Resources is a trademark of American Water and used under license. AWR's optional programs are not provided by American Water or its affiliates.

The program protects your home's interior water supply and wastewater drainage systems. Think overflowing toilet, broken water pipe under your sink (or behind the walls), stuff like that. When you enroll, AWR will organize the repair and cover the costs. See a complete list of covered repairs and view our terms & conditions.

Because plumbing emergencies are never convenient, and there are better things to spend your money on. Especially when you get stuck with a repair bill. That's when you want the In-Home Plumbing Plus Program. Protect your internal plumbing system with AWR.

Standard homeowner's insurance typically doesn't cover repairs to internal water supply and wastewater drainage systems for issues caused by normal wear and tear. Those nasty problems may be up to you to solve. So solve them in advance and get protection from AWR.

If you see water where it shouldn't be, like under the bathroom sink, dripping down the walls, or a spot on the ceiling, you probably have a plumbing issue. Call AWR and we'll get covered repairs taken care of fast.

You can pay monthly or annually with convenient options like credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), check or debit card.

Click enroll now above or call 1-855-800-5195.

Call 1-855-800-5195 immediately. We're here 24/7 if you have a repair claim or any other question.

The Protection Program is for a 12-month term that will automatically renew on an annual basis if you are paying annually by credit card or on a monthly basis. You can cancel at any time.

You can find coverage information outlined in the Terms & Conditions linked above the program name on this page.

Your enrollment begins the day AWR processes your Enrollment, which is the Enrollment Date on your welcome letter. Your protection and ability to make a claim begins 30 days after the Enrollment Date.

Our In-Home Plumbing Plus Protection Program provides up to $2,500 per occurrence for one of our independent contractors to repair leaks or breaks caused by normal wear and usage to the interior water supply lines that run to each fixture and appliance inside your home. The Program also provides up to $2,500 per occurrence for one of our independent contractors to repair clogs, blockages, leaks or breaks caused by normal wear and usage to your internal drainage lines that run from your home’s fixtures or appliances to the point they exit your home. This Program includes coverage for sink faucets, toilets and garbage disposals, but it does NOT include your home's other fixtures or appliances. If our independent contractor determines that a covered sink faucet, toilet and/or garbage disposal cannot be repaired, then it will be replaced with a basic grade fixture. If you do not want a basic grade fixture, you may purchase a fixture at your own expense and AWR’s independent contractor will install it. Opening and closing any portion of your home’s foundation or slab to access your internal water supply and drainage lines for a covered repair is at your expense. Additional exclusions apply.
